With high expectations, human beings leave Earth to begin a new life in space colonies. However, the United Earth Sphere Alliance gains great millitary powers and soon seizes control over one colony after another, in the name of justice and peace...The year is After Colony 195, Operation: Meteor. In a move to counter the Alliance's tyranny, rebel citizens of certain colonies scheme to bring new arsenels to the earth, disguising them as shooting stars. However, the Alliance Headquarters catches on to this operation... And so the story begins... The first shot shows Relena, the daughter of Vice Foreign Minister Darlian, looking out of the window of the carrier. This is how the story of Gundam Wing starts. Gundam Wing, considered as an Alternate Universe story from the rest of the Gundam series, is one of the most epic filled stories of the whole series. It is focused more on thought than on action. The setting takes place far into the future, as people move to space to start a new life. New mobile suits, built from Gundanium Alloy, called Gundams, are sent to Earth to eliminate the Alliance's secret organization, 'OZ'. They are assigned to five young pilots, each one representing one of the five colony clusters. As they approach Earth, they meet their companions, and help each other in fighting for peace between the earth and the colonies. From then on, the fate of mankind is placed on the shoulders of these five young pilots.
